Goodbye 2013

  

Happy New Year! I'm sorry I haven't updated the blog in a really long while, though I will still try to stay consistent with my blogging. This year for Christmas, I decided to put up the Christmas tree, much to my mother's protest. Also, winter has been striking hard where I live, with an unforgiving ice storm and snow storms, even though I haven't had any school snow days (very disappointing on my part). I feel terrible for not updating this blog, but here are some photos that shows what I've been up to since I last updated. The fall season was lovely and I'm very disappointed with myself not being able to capture the images of the colouring leaves. 

For some reason this year, I seem to notice something peculiar about Christmas decorations, especially in malls. This year, the decorations I see are mostly depicting beautifully sparkling iced trees. And then voilà, a record blowing ice storm strikes. In fact, here is where I mention about the new Disney master piece Frozen. I'm obsessed with Frozen to the point I've watched it 3 times. One of the characters from the movie, named Olaf, was featured on most of the holiday cards I made. I made Frozen references on almost all my cards and I've memorized most of the songs in the soundtrack. I was so elated to find out the movie is #1 and that the soundtrack is also #1 on Billboard. Let's just say, I've accidentally committed myself to a fandom.

I also received a gift as being part of the student writer's guild in my school, and they had a really interesting concept of not 'judging a book by its cover'. So, I chose a book about adventure and fantasy, though I haven't started it yet. I'm sure it's a really good book. 

Anyways, 2013 was a really mediocre year with many new self discoveries and adventures. Let's hope 2014 will be a new (and better) chapter in our lives. Happy New Year! (and may all of you stay following your New Year's resolutions)
